The Comeaux Band Program travels yearly to participate in some type of musical performance. This may be a parade, a bowl game, a concert festival or competition, or it could be a Winter Guard International event for the Winter Guards "Elite" & "Bleu," or a dance competition for "Rhythm in Bleu." While these trips are not mandatory, in order for the program to do it's best all students are encouraged to participate in the trips that pertain to the ensemble(s) of which they are members.
Comeaux's Rhythm in Bleu will participate in the VIP dance competition on Sunday, March 19th at the Fred Sigur Civic Auditorium in St. Bernard, LA. The line will depart Comeaux on Thursday, March 16th after school and spend three days in the New Orleans area. In addition to the competition the line will visit the Audubon Zoological Gardens and Aquarium of the Americas, enjoy a day in the French Quarter concluding with a ghost tour of the old quarter, Enjoy a meal at the Hard Rock Cafe` and the infamous Rocky and Carlos Restaurant in St. Bernard.
SAN ANTONIO - Spring Trip 2017
In April of 2017 the Comeaux Band will travel to San Antonio, TX where the band will participate in the Heritage Festival of Music. In addition to the music festival the band will visit the Alamo, San Antonio River Walk, Fiesta Texas and Sea World. They will also enjoy a breakfast at the Hard Rock Cafe` and a dinner at Casa Rio Mexican Restaurant on the River Walk. The band will depart campus early on Thursday, April 6th and return on Sunday, April 9th.
